Royal Controversy to be stripped of Tag Titles; Hawkes not medically cleared
Royal Controversy have been on a high since their debut on the inaugural Metal televised show. The married couple, Marisol Hawkes and Timothy Hunt, captured the Iconic Professional Wrestling Tag Team Championship defeating the Summer Boyz on at the Civil War supershow.
However, it seems that the first title run for Hawkes and Hunt will, sadly, come to an end due to health issues. It was confirmed days ago via Hunt’s personal Twitter account that Hawkes was having issues and the couple would be unable to defend the titles against Savior Faire on the May 31st Metal broadcast.
As far as the titles go, it looks like the champions will have to relinquish their belts. With Hawkes out of action, it is rumored that the titles will be contested for in a Tag Team Triple Threat Match between the teams of The Headhunters (Eric and Dexter Calloway), The Summer Boyz (Bill Summer and Don Summer), and Savoir Faire (Cheriè and Victoire).
