The signing of the hot free-agent, Blaise, was announced shortly after her brief appearance in the crowd in IPW’s first Chaos of the year. Blaise was a newcomer to the Iconic roster, but quite familiar with many people of the roster. For many individuals, their history went back years. A couple days after announcement of her signing, Blaise uploaded a short video directed to her fellow Icons to her social media. The camera opened her to a close-shot to her face, as she held it in front of her. She takes a moment to admire herself- almost getting a bit lost in herself for a moment, but who could blame her? Blaise raises her free hand to her hair, fixing her brown locks as she began to speak.
“Surprise, surprise. I know what a lot of you are probably thinking. You’re probably thinking, WOW. It’s about time we got some serious competition around here and you’re exactly right. Rose was exactly right last Chaos. This company has been plagued by LOSERS who pack up their bags when the times get tough. Losers who can talk the talk, but don’t know how to win big. Losers who came here to make friends and are losing out on opportunities, losing out on their potential. Many of these people come to Iconic way past their prime- HELL, they passed their prime years ago but they’re still holding onto the idea that maybe just maybe that they’ll get their time. They’ll get that big win, but it doesn’t really change the fact that when they go home, they go home to an empty and lonely bed. And you know what’s the worst thing of all? They take up space on their roster. They don’t bring any value. At first, maybe. There’s a bit of some buzz, but after a few matches nobody gives a shit. They stop tuning in after hearing the same song and dance after a while. It gets old very quick. And that’s exactly why I’m here. I’m here to fix IPW. What better way to fix IPW than with one of the most ICONIC wrestlers to ever grace a wrestling ring? AND that’s obliviously me, Blaise. Often imitated, never duplicated. Everyone wants to label themselves a Queen, a King, and then you have idiots like Pharaoh BILL RYDER- don’t even get me started on that idiot. YET few people have actually proved themselves to be one, but I have. I will continue to do so week in and week out starting…. well when the time is right. I know, some of you might be disappointed that you won’t be able to see me in competition for the first time in years at New Year, Who Dis? But some thing are worth waiting for and I’m obviously one of them. As many of you know, I am the Queen wherever I go, I am the standard. The Golden Standard. I have dominated every competition, headlined every big show that is out there. I have shattered glass ceilings, made history and struggled so hard to get exactly where I am now in my career. I intend on doing the same exact thing here in Iconic, especially at the young age of twenty-five I am ONLY getting started. It’s truly amazing. I’m truly amazing. And I can go on, because some of you poor souls don’t know. You have some catching up to do it seems. You haven’t been lucky enough to see me in competition, but we’ll have to save that for another time. Let’s get down to it. Consider this a message to everyone on the IPW roster. I may not be competing this show, but I definitely will be present. Last week I sat down and I watched you idiots disappoint the world with your pathetic attempts to wrestle, I watched Silver Kazama. That little nasty. I watched him fail and I can’t lie it kind of made my night. I may have celebrated with a drink or two. But most importantly, I also watched the award shows. We got to see who the supposed best was of the best and I can’t lie, when I saw… I thought to myself, that’s it? That’s the best Iconic has to offer? And then I was left with no choice obviously... I had to sign with Iconic. I had to come and provide SOME entertainment for the poor fans who have been tortured for so long. But that’s coming to an end. This year is going to be different. This year is going to be about me.”
She stops for a moment, to apply some lip gloss. She rubs her lips together, before leaving with some final words.
“My rise to the top is just around the corner and now it’s just the question of when and where.”
And with that, the camera is shut off.
