Is their a subtle nuance behind your move names? What inspired them? Let's sit under the collective learning tree.

forgot the actual finishers so......I redid these
Finishers
Dirty Little Thing (inverted facelock double knee backbreaker) is my favorite Adelitas Way song & I kinda didn't know if I wanted her to be heel or face when I first made her so I went with something that I thought could fit regardless
Rebel Yell (scorpion crosslock) Favorite Billy Idol song...OF ALL TIME! I always thought that regardless of alignment she'd be a bit of a rebel (still unfolding tbh) and with a lot of people yelling/screaming in submissions it seemed fitting.
Signatures
Novocaine (Gory bomb) Fall Out Boy song & considering that you go face first into the mat with a gory bomb & they use novocaine to numb in dentistry...it seemed pretty fitting
Gag Order (Chokehold STO) you gag when you choke (chokehold sto)...its a way to keep people quiet and from speaking in legal jargon
Neck Brace (hangman’s neckbreaker) it's a neck breaker so....duhhhh?
Regular Moves
Misery Business (over the shoulder single leg Boston crab) Boston crabs are pure misery (been in one myself) & I like Paramore
Wired Shut (double knee facebreaker) face breaker...broken jaw...and they wire those shut to heal
Migraine (heel kick to back of opponent’s head) a kick to the head will give you one hell of a headache that's for sure and migraines suck the big one...at least mine do

RYDE OF YOUR LIFE
A Super Kick that can literally shatter jaws and come out of no where. Shawn Michaels will always be my favorite wrestler, so this is a little tribute towards his Sweet Chin Music. I've been using this movie since 05'

Instant Classic (Jumping cutter or diving neckbreaker) Probably the move name I put the most thought into, but came from the move itself than from some level of subtle nuance. The Jumping Cutter is the most abused move in the independent circuit of professional wrestling, barring the Candian Destroyer and the Superkick, two moves I have come to despise for their overuse. Originally, the Instant Classic was going to be one of those two moves because Corey believes he can make even the most common move in the field look like the most defining moment in any match he is in. In true Corey fashion, he is giving the industry the middle finger through pure irony. Culture Shock (Fireman's carry bulldog) There wasn't a real rhyme or reason for this one. It was just a very uncommon move that Corey learned while training in France. One Hit Wonder (Step-up Enzugiri, occasionally to an opponent on their knees)
A reference to music since Corey works in Radio. It's not that he feels like the hit move itself is a move that holds little relevance that doesn't break waves but feels the person receiving the move's metaphorical one hit wonder is that he took the kick to the back of the head. New Fad Diet (Reverse STO, occasionally into the middle turnbuckle or followed by a Koji Clutch)
Not a big fan of the terminology of fad diets like gluten-free for example, but Corey has his finger a little more on societies pulse than I do. Plus he is driving someones face into the mat, basically making them either eat the mat or their own teeth. Panic Switch (Inverted double underhook facebuster) I just didn't wanna call it the Umprettier or the Killswitch. The character drew from TNA Christian Cage a little so decided to pay homage in a dumb, not-so-subtle way. Soylent Green (Single knee facebuster) Soylent Green is one of Corey's favorite movies where the famous plot twist was that Soylent Green, the world exercising their food recourses with overpopulation, made allegedly with plankton. Only for it to be revealed that is is actually made of people. Corey essentially makes you eat his knee. Therefore you're eating people. That's where the thought process ends.

Darkness Falling: single knee facebuster\code breaker
Move inspired by one of my all time favorites Chris Jericho. Name comes from a book series called Shades of Magic, a lot of my small character nuances are inspired by the trilogy.
Back to Black: Border City Strech
A nod to extremely underrated Alex Shelley. Name from the song and it matched my character name well.
The Shadows: Lion salt an other Jericho nod with name inspired fro. The Shades of Magic book series.
We Are The Witches: Shinning wizard
Just always loved the move, the name was inspired by a shirt i saw that said somwthing along the lines of we are the daughters of the witches you couldnt burn... My characters are always tied to dark magic and the supernatural and thought hey we are the witches that sounds dope.

Her Bloody Tears - Black Mist followed by a Headlock Driver.
As a child he witnessed the suicide of his older sister and then murdered his abusive parents. Some blood landed on his sisters cheek like a bloody tear drop and after his adoption from the asylum, he used that move as a tribute to her.
Listen To Her Voice - Flip Backstabber.
He has sisters favorite doll and his sister speaks to him through it. So I used that fact as the finishers name.
Asylum Driver - Double Underhook Flip Piledriver
It's because he's crazy an lives in an asylum long abandoned.

Finishers
#LILBIT One of Joshua's many nicknames for her
Off With Their Head What the Queen of Hearts says in Alice in Wonderland and since she's the Iconic Twisted Queen... it fit.
Flippin’ Out Cause she flips
Signatures
Cry Baby Cause it's painful to be in and the person would "cry" to be let out
DatKnee DisKnee Since it's two knee drops I spoofed what they were going to call Alexa's new move and the one this knee, that knee idea

Finishers
Avada Kedavra Since I highly suspect Stasi would be a Slytherin and I'm a Harry Potter nut, I went with this because it went with the heel kick to the back of the head. Like it would knock the person out and drop them like the most unforgivable curse.
Novocaine Fall Out Boy song & considering that you go face first into the mat with a gory bomb & they use novocaine to numb in dentistry...it seemed pretty fitting
Signatures
Dirty Little Thing is my favorite Adelitas Way song & I kinda didn't know if I wanted her to be heel or face when I first made her so I went with something that I thought could fit regardless
Misery Business Almost renamed this one Crucio but didn't want too many Harry Potter move names. Boston crabs are pure misery (been in one myself) & I like Paramore

Finishers
Up & Away 2.0 Up & Away the OG was a Molly Go Round and this I didn't wanna use the same finisher for Astrid and Liv so I went with this and just slapped 2.0 on the end
Silence Rendered Because she keeps the move locked in until the person passes out.
Signatures
Endpoint because it would be the end of the line in the match for most
Bombshelle named after one of my favorite Victoria's Secret perfumes... not gonna lie.

Oblivion: Inspired by the wonderful game series of Kingdom Hearts. Oathkeeper: Inspired by, you guessed it, the wonderful game series of Kingdom Hearts.
Both were keyblades in the game and yeah, I just kinda liked the names.
Total Eclipse: to go along with like a darker take I just figured this was a good way to take away the light from the opponent. I'm not sure, just like the name kinda too.

We-ell... GDI is short for 'God damn it' because those were three words that were used so often with Eli that she and her brothers joked it was secretly her name, and OMFN is 'Ow My Fucking Neck' because it slams the back of her opponent's neck into the ring really hard. 'INCOMING!' is kind of obvious for a shooting star cannonball, and the 'OH-EM-GEE!' is so named because... well, the hope is that it makes the commentators shout 'OH MY GOD!' when she performs it.

This one has been outdated since I wanted to use the Soylent Green move name for someone more fitting. The move has been retitled to Brainwash as, if anyone who has read Corey promos the last few months, it has become a common phrase for him. Genuinely belives he's the good guy being labelled the bad guy by the company, aka brainwashing. I dig it.

The Killswitch
I was actually thinking of Christian's reverse double-arm face-buster called Killswitch/Unprettier at the time for a finishing move but knew I couldn't called the Unprettier/Killswitch the same thing. Then all of a sudden the Air-Raid Crash popped into my head, maybe I was watching Raw and Shaemus was on I don't know. But that's how the Air Raid Crash became the Killswitch.

BEAUTY QUEST - springboard dragonrana This one was just inspired by a song I really liked. In a world with many finishers named "Unprettier" or "Botox Injection" it just kind of made sense.
LICKETY SPLIT - Suplex Double Knee Backbreaker It happens suddenly, hence the LICKETY SPLIT. Also inspired by this play I recently read by Suzan Lori-Parks of the same time. A woman just approaches a man and with no words, proceeds to lick him before just leaving. Just strange and uncomfortable. And to me, gave me thoughts of Minx.
