1. HAVE FUN! This is a game based on collaborative writing, teamwork, and a "smidge" of competitiveness.
2. Only Created Wrestlers/Original Characters will be accepted into the promotion. IPW currently has a two (2) character limit per handler not counting a manager.
3. Be respectful to one another that goes for both staff and handlers.
4. IPW is NOT a micro-fed. We are BI-WEEKLY RP fed. RP LIMIT is One (Two for championship matches). Word Count is 5,000 words (It is a word limit/maximum not a requirement).
5. No plagiarism. No harassment. No racism. There is a no tolerance policy here. Please keep content to a tasteful level. IPW supports free speech and freedom of expression but with that freedom comes responsibility. If you have any questions about content please contact a staff member.
6. No use of characters in ROLEPLAYS without permissions of other handlers. Email/PM/DM them. Bounce ideas off each other, but do not disrespect another person's wrestler. Someone's wrestler is their creation. Do not disrespect them.
7. If you have an issue with a handler or staff member please do your best to look beyond it and ONLY discuss it with the staff so that we can try to diffuse the situation as soon as possible or before it ever has a chance to become a situation.
8. Communication is key. No penalties or impartial bias' will be given to anyone, we just ask that you keep us informed whether you can or can't RP. If you can't send your segment in time, let us know. We are flexible and staff will work with you.
9. Absolutely NO PUBLIC complaining about wins, losses, etc. Please contact the Head Booker as he is very open, honest, and forthright concerning judging. Also, if your character loses, that does not mean he will not be pushed. Our matches are written to make everyone look great. Run-ins, post match and backstage scuffles are used to build heat and interest in feuds and angles.
10. Any handler that handles a character who wins a title and then withdraws from the fed, the character may be assigned a final match to lose the title. This is to reduce an alarming number of title vacancies. Any title forfeitures must be approved by the Head Booker before being announced. If your character is booked in a match and you have to leave the fed for any reason your character may be forced to wrestle in the final match. We will try to make appropriate accommodations but we cannot guarantee a match will be changed.
11. Iconic Professional Wrestling operates under the assumption that it is the main promotion in our "wrestling world." That being said, references to real world federations or wrestlers should be avoided. IPW operates under it's own brand of kayfabe. Above all else matches are real and not pre-determined. References to anything taking away from the realism of the storyline should be avoided. "Shoot" or "Inside" promos are allowed as long as they do not violate those two basic rules.
12. IPW Management reserves the right to modify these rules as necessary.
13. E-wrestling is a hobby, not a vicious sport. Try to have fun, I mean that is the whole purpose here isn't it?
If there are any questions or concerns feel free to contact any member of the staff.
