I was wondering if your significant other Knows about the Hobby? If not why do you keep it a "secret" or if he/she does Know how does he/she feel about it?

I have no significant other yet (#foreveralone), and the only person I ever told about this hobby thought it was really weird...so I just kind of keep it to myself at this point. "I roleplay as a made up professional wrestler online" is just a strange thing to say in response to "What are your hobbies?"

I'm pretty open about it. My family and friends are aware of it. The way I explain it to most of them is that it's Creative Writing competitions put in the context of a Wrestling company.

I have explained it to my boyfriend. He doesn't get it. I kind of keep it to myself as he kind of thinks its dumb, although growing up doing these it really helped me creatively and within writing.
Also no one else I know is into wrestling.

Yes. Before this type of Hobby, I was deep into D&D type games (specifically Champions now known as The Hero System). Plus I was a huge comic book fan so all those "geeky/nerdy" aspects she's Known about from the beginning.
Her only gripe is that she feels I should be getting paid for doing this since it's garnered SOOO much of my free time over the decades.

lmfao my family says I should have written a book by now. And considering at one time I was chucking out 14k words a week? They're probably right.

I figured she had to know what you're doing with all of your free time. I honestly would do this all the time if we got paid for it. It would push a lot of people to RP and be more active. That would be an amazing idea if there was a way to do it!
