***Please Note: Posting here so that ppl are not confused. This is my rp from the otber fed I was in that wasn't a fit. To continue the story, you need to read this one***
To say that I have a colourful past is putting it rather lightly.
I know that there will be rumors, speculations and some of them will probably have an ounce of truth to them. Some will know me, like Griffin. Others will think my name sounds familiar and others will think my name is fictional. In the end though, none of that matters because I am here now. Back from the dead, so to speak.
It's funny the things that will cause you to grow up, my wake up call was the day that second line appeared on that plastic tester. I had fears. My pregnancy before that had ended at 20 weeks. Devastating, not just to me but my husband at the time too. We never could recover. So naturally I feared not only losing this second child, but also my marriage falling apart as well.
Thankfully, Clark Thomas Fischer-[Named edited for privacy] was a healthy 8lbs, 5oz baby boy, born one day after his due date. But, the marriage unfortunately lasted less than a year. He divorced me, taking a good chunk of my nest egg and then disappeared. Let's just call him “CS” for arguments sake.
I haven't heard from him since Clark was 6 months old. I should have known though. He has a very unhealthy relationship with women, thinking I would be any different was wishful thinking.
So here I am. I spent the last year strengthening my knees so I could be cleared to wrestle again. Since the day they told me I couldn't anymore I have missed the ring so much. This is a dream come true. This is my redemption story.
***
Hordes of people are waiting at the arrival gate for Delta flight 110 from Los Angeles including me, who is awaiting on the arrival of my Friend Ashley Marie Chase or as she is known to the wrestling world, AMC. But I never called her that. Made me feel like she was an organization... or a bad rap artist name. After standing around impatiently, because of course the flight was delayed do to some heavy rain in LA, the flight board changes to say she is finally de-boarding. She is easy to spot in her bright red dress and even in those heels, she runs to great me, yelling as she runs toward me yelling my name.
“BLISSY!”
Ashley runs over and jumps onto me wrapping her arms and legs around my waist. She's significantly taller than I am and I almost lose my balance. My left knee groans a bit but I take it in stride. It has been a few years since Ash and I have seen each other.
“How goes it buddy? How is my Blissy?”
Her enthusiasm is refreshing. Seemed to be only two people in my life that were ever that excited to see me. I laugh as I have to put a hand on a near by wall for support.
“Things are good Ash.”
Lies. Things weren't good. I was struggling since WWO closed their doors. Rage was sick. An unexpected illness and although Terry and I could handle things, Rage didn't want that on our shoulders. So it was a sabbatical but I couldn't sit around in NYC with no job and a son to support. So I sold my condo out there and as soon as my subletter left my vegas one, I came back here. Only to find my gym in absolute chaos for which I fired my manager and was trying to do it all myself. Needless to say, I was exhausted.
“Glad you came out.”
Truth. I was glad to have her. I needed a friendly face and honestly the attention was nice. Really nice.
“I came out a long time ago Blissy.”
I can't help rolling my eyes but the smile never leaves my face. Ashley giggles at her own joke.
“Just teasing. I was glad to come out here and help you out for a while and make sure you are in shape and ready to get back in the ring.”
Ashley puts her legs back on the ground and gives me another big hug and slowly moves her hands down and with both hands grabs my ass. Ug. I was so self conscious about how much rounder it seemed to be now but Ashley, ever the flatterer knows just what to say.
“Somebody has been working out back here at least. Shall we get going?”
I was guessing she was exaggerating due to the lack of confidence from my conversation with Kei and Rox
“Were you eavesdropping on that conversation with Keira and Roxi?”
She laughs. I had grown to expect such affectionate actions from Ashley. We both grab one of her suitcases from the carousel and head towards the parking lot.
“Not sure what conversation you had but considering it was Keira it was either about that nice butt of yours or something about you and drinking.”
Ashley snickers as I shake my head but I’m smirking. It was a drastic improvement given that a few years ago I would have drop kicked her in an uncontrolled rage. I had grown up that was obvious. Didn't mean I didn’t put up with garbage either though.
“So where we going? Our house... err i mean your house or your gym first Blissy?”
I was pretty sure that she was slowing down to check out my ass. Not that it really was a big deal.
“We'll go back to my place. Not enough time to get in the gym today, I have to pick Clark up in a few hours.”
Ashley smiles. My son was always the first thing on my mind.
“Ooh all along with my Blissy for a few hours huh?”
As I pull out in my SUV, she looks at me with a serious, concerned look on her face. It was not a usual thing I saw on her face for sure.
“So how are you really doing? You ready to return to the ring and show why you are the one true Goddess of Wrestling Blissey?”
My confidence was not what it was when I was younger. When I felt invincible. I knew it was going to change my whole outlook on this sport for sure. I hoped it was for the better.
“To tell you the truth, I'm a little nervous. Others including myself have hyped up my abilities that I'm afraid I might just fall flat on my face.”
I put my hand on top of Ashley's and squeezes. Ash smiles back at me with this adoration that I knew was more than just a crush. I knew Ash had a thing for me and had since we had met in L.A.W.
“Don’t worry Bliss you are here with somebody who loves... err likes you and is going to train with you to make sure you are the best Bliss you can be. After all I am the current Hybrid Pinnacle Champion and the current and final HKW Tag Team Champion so with me training with you it’s all good. Just call me Coach Ashley
We both laugh. She had an ego when she was winning but that shiny, bubbly nature of hers didn’t diminish even when she wasn’t on top. It was one of the things I really liked about her.
“I'm not a newb! Just rusty. But I have been working with my brothers as well as Ty and Effie.”
I pull into the underground parking garage. What happened next is totally NSFW but let’s just say it led to me now having a girlfriend named Ashley Marie Chase. I kinda like her too.

“I'm afraid, we can't do that.”
I take a really long inhale of breath. Normally, I had a very good control of my rage but when it came to CS, all I wanted to do was beat him black and blue. As I sat here, with a family lawyer, I felt that urge to release greater than ever.
“Why? I did what you asked. I posted a classified ad asking [omitted] to pony up. Nothing. Seriously since that guy got half my money I haven't seen even one of his nasty pubes let alone heard from him.”
I curl my lips in disgust. The lack of manscaping really was a turn off. No one wants pubes in their mouth, or on the toilet seat. The lawyer looks the same. Wow, even I had to admit that his game face was on point.
“Because if we remove Mr. [Omitted] from Clark's birth certificate, he can't stay in the United States.”
What? I had dual citizenship. I didn't get it. Before I can ask, the lawyer is explaining.
“You were born in Canada and although you say your mother was a United States citizen, that was never proven. Turns out your father left the mother portion of your birth certificate blank. And Clark was born in Toronto, also making him only a Canadian citizen if you remove your ex.”
“Fuck.”
Damnit Dad. Guess I can see where I get my grudges from.
“Further to that, your work Visa is going to be expiring soon. So unless you get your birth mother to submit to a blood test confirming your half American status, then I'm afraid it might be a lengthy process to get you a renewal.”
Double Fuck. I hadn't spoken to Natalie in a few years. Not since I had ignored her letters asking to build some kind of bond. This was the last thing I wanted.
“You could always have someone legally adopt him who is an American citizen...”
Ashley's face pops into my mind. Her cute, playful face. A face that had spent a lot of time at my apartment. The face of the woman I was officially seeing. But she wasn't ready to be a parent. I knew that without asking.
“Guess I gotta go see bitchface and convince her to get a DNA test.” I sighed heavily. I was beyond pissed but over the years, I had learned a significant amount of control. A control that I had taught Effie. Although she had a lot more control than I did at her age. The lawyer stands, offering me his hand
“Good luck Kahlan, let me know when you have some information we can use.”
Nodding, I exit the office, my heels clicking as I go. They weren't nearly as high as I used to wear but a compromise with my doctors was to stay below two inch heels to be easier on my knees. I missed my stilettos though. Once again CS had screwed me over, even without being around to insult my upbringing, my country of birth or my ability to be a mother. I know now that if it seems to good to be true, it probably is.
To say that I have a colourful past is putting it rather lightly.
