*Ring Ring*
”Hello?”
“Hello Pudding. We need to talk.”
“And who is it that needs to talk to me, please?”
“Seriously Pudding? Everyone else is calling you Pudding now because of me. So who in the hell do you think it is. Besides, didn’t your assistant tell you?”
“Sadly, I’m not worthy enough to warrant an assistant so your call came directly through to my line. And yes everyone seems to be calling me that but it’s nothing new so you have to be a bit more specific on who this is.”
“Well some woman transferred my call. But whatever… It’s Anastasia… Stasi Herveaux. I’m calling to discuss why I was suspended.”
“Ah, Ms. Herveaux. Well it seems that Mr. Samson felt your interference throughout Chaos was unwarranted and your further attack upon Mrs. Samson had the potential to injury her.”
“Well that’s bullshit and we both know it. If that’s the case, I can name quite a number of people who should also be suspended… Oliver Black, Micheal Graves, Acrimony, Johanna Kriger… I could go on but I really think you get the gist. As for Astrid… the bitch deserved it. She turned on me and so… I took the one thing away that she had left.”
“But this isn’t about any other Icon, Ms. Herveaux. This is about you and your carelessness when dealing with a fellow Icon. Regardless if you feel Mrs. Samson deserved it or not, you have hospitalized her and the person that signs our checks wants you suspended indefinitely.”
“It’s still some bullshit. So he wants me suspended… pfft! You think I care what that man child wants? That’s why I called a real adult in you. You have the power to rescind this suspension. So rescind it.”
“I don’t have that power. There is nothing I can do in this instant but to enforce his executive order. Though it may not matter now, but I did try to talk him out of it but you’re not actually on his favorite person’s list.”
“That’s because I told the worm the truth and he couldn’t handle it… suspending me the first time and then sicking that rabid bitch on me. He’s started a war that he won’t be able to handle between me and him, his wife and his tattooed ass kisser.”
Stasi’s groan can be heard.
“So you’re saying that you can’t do it but all I’m hearing is you won’t and don’t want to do it. Are you afraid he’ll sick that bitch on you next?”
“Ms. Herveaux, I find the indefinite suspension excessive as hell, but I have no power in my position as the general manager to supercede the owner of the company. The only person that could do that is…”
Tap’s voice trails off, not finishing the sentence.
“Ugh… you’re so not useful. But I know exactly who’s name you’re trying to not say. Someone who’s got more power than you. I don’t know why I didn’t think to call them first. So I guess I need to take back my previous statement… you really are useful old man.”
“Uh, I’m not quite sure what you think I’ve helped you with but okay. I’ll have your suspension papers expedited over to you in the next few hours. I’m sorry I couldn’t have the suspension overturned.”
“Fine… fine. But the suspension might be overturned by the time they get here. I have another phone call to make and it all depends on what that person has to say.”
A slight giggle is heard from Stasi before the call ends.
